Valerie’s Philosophy

When it comes to organizational development, companies are beginning to understand the importance of effective leadership and high-performing teams. When teams are unable to communicate effectively, collaborate together on an important business problem, or work cooperatively together, everyone suffers. When ineffective leadership gets in the way of the team’s ability to communicate, collaborate, and cooperate effectively, everyone suffers. Employees become disengaged in their work, customers stop receiving excellent products and services, and the organization’s bottom line starts to dry up.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my 23+ years’ of organizational development experience is this.

If a high-performing team is the goal … LEADERSHIP MATTERS!

A strengths approach to leadership and team development is based on positive psychology that values each person’s unique qualities. It’s practical, powerful, energizing and affirming, and a proven solution for many of the people problems that your organization may be facing.

A strengths approach to leadership and team development includes

    • Helping each member of the team develop an acute level of self awareness of their individual and collective talents

    • Being intentional about learning new skills to compliment their talent

    • Practicing and developing their talent

    • Leveraging their strengths to achieve extraordinary performance and managing around their areas of weakness to avoid fatal flaws

People working in their “STRENGTHS ZONE”

    • Look forward to going to work every day

    • Have more positive than negative interactions with coworkers

    • Tell their friends they work for a great company

    • Achieve more on a daily basis

We firmly believe that a one-size-fits-all approach to performance management simply does not work. Rather than fit your needs into our solutions, we customize our approach to help your leaders and teams achieve remarkable results.

A strengths-based, one-on-one development solution to help your high performers and high potentials maximize their potential … and increase the chances they’ll want to stay with your organization!

StrengthsFinder 2.0, HoganLEAD Series, 360° Feedback Assessments, combined with coaching, will improve the leader’s self-awareness of strengths and potential barriers, develop self-management strategies, and clarify professional development opportunities.

When teams learn how to intentionally leverage the group’s individual and combined talents and strengths to achieve performance objectives, they gain a process they can use time and time again to reach their goals.

A comprehensive, strengths-based approach that provides critical leadership the feedback, knowledge and tools necessary to correct ineffective behaviors, capitalize on personal strengths, and develop new skills to increase their leadership effectiveness and executive presence.

A strategic, strengths-based solution to executive selection and succession planning ensures you get the right person in the right position … the first time.

A talent development approach that is based on positive psychology. Rather than trying to fix what is “wrong” with people, I help leaders and teams better understand what is “right” with people so they can develop strong leaders and build high-performing teams.
